WA 11-21-2003, 02:53 AM Actually I posted the browser breakdown of visitors for CF a while ago, which can be found here: http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=17815&highlight=browser Looking at the stats now, not much has changed. missing-score 11-21-2003, 10:13 AM great! i didnt know about that. thanks! Caffeine 11-21-2003, 12:22 PM According to the stats on the w3s-site, the amount of visitors using gecko-based browsers have increased each and every of the past few months, yay! :D Same goes for IE6 though :( http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_war.asp ionsurge 11-21-2003, 07:15 PM It doesn't take into account that more people are buying computers every month. Like it says, stats can't be trusted. liorean 11-21-2003, 07:37 PM When it comes to worldwide, entire internet using population, there is one ultimate source for browser stats. It doesn't list numbers, only a graph, but you easily see what browsers are how large compared to eachother, and their usage trend. I'm talking about the Google Zeitgeist (http://www.google.com/press/zeitgeist.html), of course. In cases other than that, there is no good estimation except for looking at your own logs, or possibly, but less dependable, having a look at the stats for sites with the same content type, update interval, target audience, and surrounding community. |
