Every once a while, I notice when starting or registering session vars, they show up in my addressbar like this:

http://site.com?SESSID=lkjhg10857tiyu4gqiuy76f8
and
http://site.com?name=fred&email=this@that.com

I also noticed that the vars aren't registered or passed then.
Is this a server misconfiguration, browser setting problem, or what?

Thanks

On the first page, you'll almost always see the session in the URL. The reason you don't see it after the first page is as your browser accepts cookies, and therefore doesn't need the session in the url anymore and will work transparantly. If you had cookies disabled, you'd see the session in the URL on every page.

Well, I've noticed that the vars aren't always registered/passed...and I have 28 returned emails saying no address was provided. I have form validation so the user has to fill out the email address.
I'm thinking somethings wrong with the server at this point...
Thanks

Yep...The server was misconfigured.
Third host in a row who doesn't quite know what they're doing...
My brother and I just lost several emails over a 3 week period.
The horror....the horror...
