I have writen a free ASP Calendar. That calendar works perfect, but the only thing i stumbled onto, was the coloring of special fields in the table.
When i try to change the color of holidayfields, some other fields change automaticly to that same color. can someone please check what i am doing wrong. If you want to check it out, you can download a copy of the agenda on http://www.gravenrode.nl/downloads/agenda.zip

if you surf to http://www.gravenrode.nl/agenda/diary.asp?view_date=17-Decem ber-2003 then you can see my problem in real-life. if you look close enough, then you will notice that in the top-left corner a green box. this green box has to bee blue. and that is my problem

The file in wich the changes shoud be made is diary.asp. The database is office 2000 and contains some example data. The database also is prepared to save the vacation with the date. all that has to be done is change the color of the background of the cell where vacation is checked

Read the included readmefile before you begin.

Thanks in advance for your help

I had done the same program before.
Analysis the coding in details and you will understand the concept in the calacnder design, especially on the view_day.asp
The table design is written in ASP coding instead of HTML

Look at your codes on diary.asp
Should be from line 160 onward.
Look for the following codes:

Dim sBGCOLOR
sBGCOLOR = "#FFCCOO"

For iDay = 0 To 6
sBGCOLOR = "#FFCCOO"
If Month(dtCurViewDay) = Month(dtCurViewMonth) Then
If dtCurViewDay = dtToday Then sBGCOLOR = "#CCCC00"
else
sBGCOLOR = "#FFCCOO"

End If
Response.Write "<TD HEIGHT=50 bgcolor='" & sBGCOLOR & "' >"

If Month(dtCurViewDay) = Month(dtCurViewMonth) Then
If dtCurViewDay = dtToday Then
sFontColor = "#CC3300"

Else
sFontColor = "#000000"
End If

The coding in dark red, will instruct to change the table font colour and background colour.
Just modify the colour codes link #000000 and refresh the script, you will understand what I mean.

Apparently you're messing with it still...

Unable to open registry key 'Temporary (volatile) Jet DSN for process 0xa10 Thread 0xf54 DBC 0x219c014 Jet'.
/agenda/diary.asp, line 5

Have you got that figured out yet? Sounds like a permissions problem to me because that's usually the case with windows. You need to share that folder on the 'net with appropriate permissions.

I stepped off of the holiday idea, but i have 1 question left:

is it possible to set this agenda to a different language without having problems? if i do it now, i get problems

You mean to a different language like Dutch?
Put this inside the <head> tag:

<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html;charset=ISO-8859-1">

Just change to an appropriate charset.
