Does anyone have any idea on how to avoid that "Warning you are being redirect to a site that isn't secure..." dialog in IE? Other than losing the SSL?

You can only avoid it by remaining within SSL or never entering it.
It's annoying but it's something you have to live with when you have a mixed environment.

...or your browser may handle this differently.
All it does is look for https:// and trigger an alert...
I went thru this before and believe Roy's right...It prompts when it sees the https:// is present or now missing...even across domains

I may also be your personal browser settings, there's a checkbox in the browser settings that allow you to turn this off in your own browser. It's just that you can't turn this off for users visiting your web site, they have to turn it off for themselves.
Perhaps I misunderstood but I expected the question to be more along the lines of "how do I save my users from this nuisance" than "how do I turn it off because I don't like seeing it".

Thanks for the replies, yeah it is a "save my users..." type of question.
Is it because I am using a server side language to redirect them off the secure connection? I'm gonna try using a javascript snippet to redirect them off, I dunno if it will work but I'll post on the resault.

I think it's a "Notify the user they're leaving the encrypted zone" type of thing so the user will be alerted to not enter any sensitive data now. Without the notice, users might be convinced to enter stuff they'd never want just anyone who was watching the wire to be able to see.

Yeah you are probably right, and it makes sense but I know the issue will be brought up eventually so I was just exploring possible solutions. I haven't had time today so far to try my idea.
