Does anyone know of an effective way to handle session state management on a web farm? That is if this is not already built into the php engine.

Hi , google for 'Mohawk msession' which is probably what you are looking for ... if you have just one dedicated database tier then you can do without mohawk , and write your own custom session handler

Okay I haven't given it a chance yet but I found Mohawk. From what I read this just might work.

I tackled this problem once, and thankfully I have all the code for it still :) I had to write my own custom session handling and used one main dbase server. This was very effective and best of all once it was done everyone knew how it would work and the network engineers didn't have to worry about breaking anything when they dropped a new server into the farm.
