Quick question! PLEASE HELP

Hi all,
I am fairly new to using PHP (and MYsql)
I am trying to develop a web application in which users can write notes and submit the notes to a server in which other users can then search for the notes and view them..

What approach do I take? and what software can I use that will make this process easier for me?

You would normally start off with a html form prompting the user to enter notes.

When the form is submitted to a server side script, the server side script validates the user input (note) and then sanitises it before adding it to the database.

Other users can then run queries via html forms whicg submit the the search criteria to a server side script. The server side script retrieves the notes from the database that meet the search criteria and displays them in the users' browser.

A custom job is not hard, but getting a ready made script would save you time making a pro looking page and features. Lookout for Q&A type of scripts in hotscripts.
