Table inline edit code

Hi all ,

I have a simple table with an edit button on it ...I want a js or jquery code to edit the same inline and update on clicking the save option (This can be backed by PHP) but I have trouble in wrting the Jquery script as I am a newbie in this.

please help me by sharing any sample code that can solve my problem :).
