name of a virus attack style...

Hi,

I might post it in the wrong section, if that's the case, I apologize... It seemed to me the closest section of CF to ask a question of that kind.

When a virus is spread trough email (or other ways), hosted in many different computers and when the same day, at the same time, all the computers attack the same target, what's the name of that kind of virus attack technique? does it have one?

it is usually referred to as a DDoS or Distributed Denial of Service attack...
