I mean

That reference works only when I use a precise href:

<a href="page.html" onclick="top.frames['nameofiframe'].thatfunction()">Go somewere on iframe</a>

that means I load the page in iframe each time I want to go on certain <a name>, which is exactly the thing I wanna avoid.

The reference does not work when I try something like

<a href="#" onclick="top.frames['nameofiframe'].thatfunction()">Go somewere on iframe</a>

<a href="javascript:void(top.frames['nameofiframe'].thatfunction())">Go somewere on iframe</a>

you should have not start a new thread so others can follow what you're saying.

<a href="#" onclick="top.frames['nameofiframe'].thatfunction();return false">Go somewere on iframe</a>

Can you post the content of thatfunction()?

For the sake of others, here's the original thread (http://www.codingforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=27882).

sorry, I have clicked the New instead of Replay... I was thinking at too many things at the same time, sorry

But... the problem still remains the same... I forgot to mention that I've tried the return false either, with teh same result... I mean that the result is that the event open me a new, undefined page, either I use return false or not... I don't understand why

can you post the code in thatfunction() and the iframe tag?
