Changing image weekly

Is there anyway to change an image every week automatically? I have a bunch of images that I want to cycle through every week. would this be possible in javascript?

How many images do you have? Are they named by a sequence or anything?

I will have just about 10-15 images, and I can name them sequencially. I'd also like some text to be put near them. My idea is to have some function with an if statement and have the fuction go from 0-10 (depending on images) and just have it change on certain days of the month and have the text show if the # corresponds to the picture or something

does this make sense?
