about two functions

Hi everyone

I am not really familiar with javascript, but I would like to implement a two javascript functions(general purpose functions) a text manipulation functions.
one is to save a text SaveMessage() taking a text as parameter and the other one is to Delete a Message DeleteMessage(), taking a text as a parameter. I am not familiar with javascript.

Can anyone help me to get started ?
