Hmm, I would guess you'd better look at the usual places:

MozDev: Documentation - <http://www.mozdev.org/docs/index.html>
XULPlanet: Everything except the prefbar - <http://xulplanet.com/>
ZVON: XUL, RDF tutorials and references - <http://zvon.org/>
Mozilla: Developer documentation - <http://mozilla.org/docs/>
Mozilla: Web Developer documentation - <http://mozilla.org/docs/web-developer/>
Mozilla: Creating a Mozilla Extension tutorial - <http://www.mozilla.org/docs/tutorials/tinderstatus/>
Mozilla: XULNotes - <http://www.mozilla.org/docs/xul/xulnotes/index.html>
MozillaZine: Development:Extensions forum - <http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewforum.php?f=19>

MNS: Wrong Firebird... he meant Mozilla Firebird. (Unless I'm entirely mistaken on his personal areas of interest.)

Yeah Mozilla Firebird is it :) thanks for the refs

Why did it change from Phoenix anyway? I think Phoenix is a much better name ..

One of the reasons were threats about lawsuits from no less than three different companies. (Don't remember if that was the change TO or FROM phoenix, though)

The major reason, though, was likely that they wanted to achieve consistency and a reliable marketable name that they were not to change in the future. FireBird, ThunderBird, SongBird (proposed name for ChatZilla, I believe); only Composer of the major components/applications lacks the -Bird name. And it doesn't seem like they are going to add a stand-alone Venkman, JavaScript Console or DOM Inspector for the moment (The DOM Inspector doesn't even look like it'll be in the Suite in the future, unless they fix the fb compatibility problems that have been in it since forever).
