Do you have a laptop or a desktop?

If it's a desktop, then make sure the connect between your monitor and PC is plugged in and screwed in tightly at both ends. If this doesn't fix it then your monitor could just be going bad.

If it's a laptop then you have a bigger problem. If a laptop monitor is causing you issues then it could be a loose wire within, and without the correc tools and training it's difficult to try and fix the issue yourself by taking apart a laptop.

On either a laptop or a desktop it could be a motherboard issue or more specifically a video card\video chip issue.

You're welcome. :)

Hmmm...laptop. It's incredibly difficult to troubleshoot an issue like you are having online like this. I suggest that if you know anyone who can correctly figure out the issue in person that is the route you should take.

If your laptop is in the warranty date, send it back.

If not and you are comfortable with opening it up, i would check the ribbon/cable for the LCD is connected correctly, possibly by disconnecting and reconnecting.

This would be a good starting point to see if it is best case scenario a loose/poor connection.

Does the screen ever flash so that one half of the screen is darker than the other? (Think of a black-transparent gradient laid over your screen)

I guess the problem is in the flip connection just because when ever we Connect cable to desktop to CPU improper the same problem occurs so pls if you are in warranty then ring up customer care or reach there if not then walking to nearest service engineer.

Well according to me if we are talking about desktop then there must be a problem in monitor and its connections but for laptop as we know its a all in one in one machine so its difficult to judge before taking view of it practically because problem differs from laptop to laptop.
