Hi All,

This forum is full of info. I like it.

I have a default.htm set as the default page.
When user surf www.mysite.com, will goto default page.

Now, if the user surf www.mysite.com/abc, (abc is an invalid page), I would like to use JavaScript to capture it (the "abc") and redirect to another page. In fact "abc" is an parameter to generate a dynamic page. Is this possible ?

I tried quesry string, seems doesn't works.

Thanks
Alex

If the page does not exsist then you are not going to be able to capture the abc is someone types it in with javascript....

Doing this requires interfacing with the Web Server software itself. How you would do it depends on what web server software you're using. In any case you wouldn't be doing this with javascript but you should be aware that it is not only possible but there are web sites using that technique right now.

I'm unable to find the right keywords to look up the example I remember but I know it's possible.

Dear all

I'm trying to develop one ISAPI app with delphi, when i installed the ISAPI, i can capture the "abc", the invalid pathinfo. Example : http://www.mysite.com/isapi.dll/abc

When i set the isapi.dll as default page, i can't capture the "abc" again.
Example : http://www.mysite.com/abc

So i am trying to use one dummy page, will be the default page, with some JavaScript (something like location.href...) to redirect to the http://www.mysite.com/isapi.dll/abc. But the challenge is to capture the "abc" in the dummy page.

Any idea ?

Thanks
Alex
