HTMLEncoded string in JavaScript

I used ASP to get the following string from a database. It is currently HTMLEncoded. In it's current state Javascript not allow me to use it, can somone tell me a solution such as changing it out of HTMLencoded or getting Javascript to take it... the code is below.

frames.message.document.body.innerText="<p><i>Editor's Note: Sam Slutsky is father of Jay Slutsky</i></p>
<p>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The Bulldogs' next game will be on Monday! Dec 3 at 7:30 p.m. at Newbridge Ice Rink. The team will take on Bethpage.</p>";

Hate to ask questions when you're looking for answers, but...

Why do you have HTML tags imbedded in the middle of strings, stored on a database?

Just what do you mean by you want Javascript to take it?

There is much more here than meets the eye, Watson!

Well just in case your curious my purpose is shown in this page. The coding is for the update of it... I need to be able to edit and delete the code for the article. http://www.sowebdesigns.com/bulldogs/news.asp
