Just a question whats a REGISTRAR-LOCK?
e.g Status: REGISTRAR-LOCK
Whats the terms on a having a domain locked and what does the above mean? :confused:

I believe it has to do with locking the domain so that it cannot be transferred to another registar.

What can enable your own domain/ to be locked?
and what requirements for the registrar to allow this?

It's not something the registrar does to you when they feel like it. It's a feature you can use if it is offered. At GoDaddy they have this and this is their description of it:
Although your domains are already securely managed, this FREE option also locks your domain name at the Registry itself providing an additional layer of protection from inadvertent changes to your domain's name servers or contact information, and changes of registration. More importantly, Domain Name Locking prevents unauthorized transfers because the Registry will reject the transfer request immediately for you. The transfer is denied before it even gets started!
