Host intranet

hi,

I have a PC which served as web server for my
web-site (intranet) and I wonder why when I try to use the host name it can't be functioned or it just manage to access to the login page, and it seems like can't detect after I have login, instead I must use the IP address (We have our LAN). Is there anything I have to do with DNS???

Can you give us more details? Like what OS is the server running off of and what server software are you using?

Oh ya, I'm running win2k profesional and use IIS as my web server.....
