View Full Version : Internet Explorer enlarges my left block, Firefox is fine

I'm working on developing http://statmedsupplies.3dcartstores.com/

It was originally a template that's being custom modified. The issue I'm having is with the left block titled Categories. On Firefox, both it and Manufacturers line up correctly. However, on Internet Explorer, the Manufacturers column is working correctly while the Categories column is not. Hovering over the subcategories should display the problem nicely, the Category column is somehow wider than it should be, but only on Internet Explorer.

I've been modifying values everywhere trying to break the website but I can't find the value that is causing this issue. Why is Internet Explorer treating the Category column as being so much wider than the Manufacturer column? They are built using virtually identical coding and should be both limited to the grey area.

I get the feeling it has something to do with padding somewhere...

Please let me know if you can help.

my guess is you are right on the padding issue.

take a look in here:

assets/templates/v40001/css/default_modified.css

.menu-headers {

font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 15px;
color: #ffffff;
font-weight: normal;
text-transform: uppercase;
text-decoration: none;
padding: 0px 0px 0px 25px;
line-height: 35px;
background: #ff6600;

}

I actually tried modifying that but it controls the positioning of the text in the menu box. Even with the padding removed it still has the same issue. Some other padding value maybe.
