Just what subject say. I know Dreamweaver has its built-in ftp manager but it doesn't have advanced settings such as file permissions. I have tried searching for it but look like i got to download ftp manager.

Ok, it solved now. I have found a site:

http://thunder.prohosting.com/~sampieri/freefaq/g_perm.shtml#p_dreamweaver

it would be handy for anyone who want to change file permission on dreamweaver! :)

I ran into that problems as well and also getting different file extensions to load in ASCII instead of binary. It was uploading perl files with .pl and .pm extensions as binary...

Thanks for the link!

Wow!!!!!!!!! I didn't know we could do that in dreamweaver. How long has that been there I wonder. I've been using Dreamweaver since version 2.0. If it's been there all this time I am gonna scream.

I've lost count the number of times I had to either log into the web based control panel of my webhost or open up another FTP program and login just to change the permissions on some files or folders. You would think Macromedia would maybe at least build a graphical feature for it and put it in the site menu somewhere.
