Positioning help

HELP!
I'm developing a website and have a footer div that contains a menu. The footer div is positioned so that it appears 'underneath' the div above it, with z-index and positioning in the css. However the menu that is shown in the footer now does not work when you mouse over it.

Can anyone explain how I can fix this?

It's because of the negative z-index on #footer. Remove that, and instead apply position:relative and z-index:1 to #main.
