Google adsense like programs

I've applied for Google Adsense, but cant ever seem to get accepted. Are there any alternative programs like adsense that are available?

I'm guessing that if adwords won't accept you, it's either coz of these reasons:

1. Not enough traffic
2. Google rating is bad
3. Site incomplete
4. Not enough page views

You will need a fairly high traffic site or atleast a site with good page rankings to get google to accept you, I should imagine.
