Best way to develop in team

How to develop on your office ?

Any developer have wamp on owned workstation and after upload to external web server OR there is a local server for all developer to test php applications and after upload from this ?

Second way seems best for centralize all works but first way seems really more simle for developer to manage and test with ftp only to final step..

what you best experience ??

The second way is, IMHO, the best. Be sure to use a coding app like DreamWeaver and set "check in/check out" on so that only one person can work on any file at any given time. Using a subversion repository is also recommended; that way if anything is screwed up, you can go back to an earlier edit.

.. but on second way need to upload from local server to public web server and not all ftp client manage ftp server<->server.. what's best way ?
