You can use DOM in any web file you can use javascript in. (clientside, at least.)

thanks for your answer..

i have another question

does this mean that i can have an ASP page from which I will open an html page and then using DOM methods i will retrieve a key/value pair from the <meta> tags

I need to create dynamic links and the path is in those html file within the <meta> tags...

is this possible or am i barking up the wrong tree?

thanks

Hmm, I think the DOM is the wrong approach to this, you should do some string work on them in ASP instead. You see, even though DOM can be used serverside, it's not the most efficient technique to use in that many cases. DOM is better for clientside handling of documents, especially in user-document interactions.

Ok thanks for the tip

i guess i will try to open then using TextStream object and then read each file line by line until i find the information i need to make the path
