Syncing my Desktop App DB and an Online DB

Friends,

I will like to solicit ur help. I'm designing a desktop application that would sync easily with my online version with the tables intact as always. I want my user to be able to work from anywhere and upon having an internet connection would be able to have both data at the desktop and online fresh. More like what's been done by Dropbox but this time its an app(desktop and web)

Kindly revert with possible work-arounds.

Nothing to do with JavaScript. JavaScript can't be used for any of this.
