I've got a 32MB nVidia PCI graphic card from eVGA for my computer and installed it about 4 months ago.
My Computer:
OS: Dual Boot: WinXP Home / Linux RH9
Processor: P4 1.8 Ghz
RAM: 768 MB
I haven't had much time to putz with Linux since I didn't have internet access at home until recently. So now that I've got my NIC up and running and Apache working, I'm trying to use openOffice. (The last thing I need to be MS free). However, when I try to launch it, nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application (rpm) to no avail.
Then I read somewhere that some graphics cards aren't compatible with OO. Great, not only do I have to find a card that works with Linux, but now they're application specific???
Can somebody that uses Linux & OpenOffice let me know what, if any PCI (no AGP) graphics cards work with Linux and OpenOffice? Or if there is something I need to do with some config file (xfree86config or something)?
Thanks
