Link to page w/ iframe and set src

Hello,

I'm working on a site for a friend and need the ability to have links to a page with iframe set the src for that iframe. I've found probably dozens of examples of this online and haven't been able to implement any of them. I never receive errors, the page with the iframe simply loads as it normally would, without my custom src set. Here are a couple I've tried:

He has both a left and right iframe and sometimes wants to define the content for left, or right, or both.
