Hi, a client of mine is seeing a side scrollbar on a site I'm designing where I see none.

The width of the site is 960px and their resolution is 1440px. They also said they had a friend check it and experienced the same issue.

I don't see how they're getting the scrollbar. Can anybody confirm this on their end and suggest why it might be happening?

Thanks.

In FF7, Windows 7 I get a horizontal scroll bar on any viewport size LESS THAN 1802px wide.

For me, this has 100% to do with position:absolute; being used on the billboard image while not using a setting for left position. For good measure I would go ahead and use a top position setting as well. Add this to your CSS and see if your clients dreams have come true:

[style.css, line 443]

#billboard img {
position: absolute;
top: 0px;
left: 0px;
}

You also have 4 errors in your HTML at the moment which may or may not have been contributing:
http://validator.w3.org/check?uri=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.globaltrainingsolutions.ca%2Fnewsite%2F&charset=%28detect+automatically%29&doctype=Inline&group=0&ss=1&verbose=1

You should fix those up while you're at it! :D

Oh, I see what you mean. I've updated the CSS. Is there still a scrollbar on your end? (It's frustrating I can't test this on my machine).

Thanks a lot.

Great! Thanks for your help.

Now to trawl through the validator errors.
