Rollover text

Hi guys,

Total newbie to all this and just trying to put together a site for a friend. I've a good chunk of it complete at this stage but just came across a stumbling block. I want to have a short piece of text - and if a user hovers over that text, a list is populated next to it (on the same line).

I'm not even sure if rollover is the correct term here. Maybe fade in/fade out? As I do want the horizontal list to slowly (not too slowly) go across the screen.


So it would look like this with no cursor over it:

LIST

and it would look like this with a cursor over it:

LIST - item1, item2, item3, item4, item5

Thanks felgall, yeah something like that but with a fade in and a bit slower.
