So I am trying to setup a IIS Webserver for someone on Win 2k AS and I was wondering I am dedicating a drive letter to allow access via webpages and list useing file object and asp! so what would be my best action to use the IUSR account or the Authenticated User account and what would be the big differences? P.s. I will have them all read only except for the folders that I will allow uploading too?

Using the Authenticated user account allows to to control security on a user by iser (or group by group) basis which the IUSR account only allows for control of that account alone. There are advantages and disadvantages for using either but unless you need to know exactly who uploaded a file or expect to need to limit uploading to a select group it's best to use the IUSR account.
