XP home problem

In Windows XP when your looking through your folders on your computer with explorer, there is a sidebar giving you related tasks and differents settings on the left. Well for some reason, that just disappeared and I don't know why. I want it back. Please help. I have a picture of where this sidebar should be. Please Help!

I'm just guessing 'cause my so is not in english:

MyPC properties --> Advanced options --> Performance (Visual options...) --> try to find "use common tasks in folders"
