While I am looking at range of hosts and what they are offering...I saw that one host has PHP and MySQL features included.

Erm, I'm bit confused, as I thought PHP script would work with either MySQL or PHP?

If hosting has its PHP feature included, it means it will work with PHP script only?

And PHP script will work either MySQL or PHP enabled host? Am I correct? Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks!

PHP is the scripting engine (i.e., what allows you to run .php scripts). mySQL is a database engine that allows you to store lots of information, which can then be used by a PHP script (for instance, the posts on these forums might be stored in a mySQL database.)

Most PHP scripts will work with or without mySQL installed. You only need mySQL (or some other database engine) for scripts that require a database.

You can get guestbooks to run from a database or from txt files.
