View Full Version : Embed a youtube video on my website in dreamweaver cs5

Hello, this is probably a rookie question but since everything I know about building websites is self-taught I still have trouble with some simple methods that I havent experimented with yet.

I looked everywhere for the html code to embed a Youtube video onto my website. I keep getting codes that have the formatting done directly with the html code. My html file has only html, I do all of my formatting in a separate CSS stylesheet. So I just need the simple html code to get the video on the website and then I can format it on my own from the stylesheet. Can someone please help me out? Thanks in advance.

On the Youtube video you want to use, click on "Share" (below the video).
Then "Embed".
From there you can use an iframe or an old embed code object.

Good luck

Or just put in dreamweaver
<embed src="your video address" />
that should work.
