I picked up a Theme Forest site template and I'm trying to remove the social media tools for Facebook & Twitter from the "work" section on my site. When a picture is clicked you can see the social media buttons at the bottom of the viewer and I'd like to remove that function.
Site with issues:
Here is a dropbox file containing my java script files:

Well, the real problem is you don't have any "work section of your site".
Your site is all one page and it just scrolls up and down the page to the appropriate spot.
So a person can use the slider on the right side of the window to slide to any "section" of your site without you even knowing what "section" they are looking at. For that matter, they can slide to half way between two "sections" and so then how would you even define which of the two they are looking at??
You *could* remove the "tools" when "Works" is clicked on, and put them back when another title is clicked on, but what do you do about the person who just slides the page?
You just chose a really really limiiting and primitive site template.
At a minimum, the template should be (effetively) hiding the scrollbar so that the use can only change sections by clicking on the titles.

Ah...but then I just noted that some of your "sections" are too large to fit on the screen, and so the visitor *MUST* scroll around on them.
I hate to say it, but I think you ought to change templates. If you need the vertical space for each section, such that visitors will need to scroll (and they will...I'm on a 1600x900 monitor, which is actually larger than current averages), then I would say that each section needs to be its own "page". Now, the "pages" could be all on one HTML page (though I question the wisdom of that...it makes that single HTML page slow to load), by hiding all sections except the currently chosen one.
