I download a lot of .zip files that include code and stuff that I look at. I don't save it anywhere I just let it open up. Where do these go? The Temporary Internet Files??

I don't want these files clogging up my system.

thanks

Hmm, that varies. Sometimes, they go into ",my documents", sometimes the temp directory, sometimes your desktop. I believe that your os version as well as your browser has something to do with exactly where they are stored by default.

temp internet files methinks in most cases. maybe you should just save them to a folder that you set to get erased at each boot to be sure?

With Internet Explorer, you can view the temp. internet files directory by right clicking on IE from the desktop and go to properties then click "Settings" from the Temporary Internet Files section on the first tab. Then press "View Files".

For Moz, you can view where it puts them under preferences then Advanced then Cache.
