This may not be the right forum to answer this question, but:

Is there a limitation on form submissions in DOCTYPE xhtml strict?

I am working up a form processing script and I am having problems
with the html side of the script. The form has about a dozen fields
and elements. Only a radio button set and a series of select/option elements
are being sent to the server script. All the other text and checkbox and
hidden elements are being ignored and not sent. I have been picking
through, checking syntax for standards violations and combing them all
out, picking through for markup related problems and have found none
with at least two different versions of the form.

Javascript will detect and handle all the form elements, but I want to
pear down to the bare minimum without javascript. then I will start
adding javascript processing.

I have been trying various different markup approaches. I have never
encountered this problem with html 4.

in either XHTML or HTML only named form elements inside the appropriate form tags are submitted.

more answer would require more info.

Oh, yes. Now it is working. I haven't done a form for a while and forgot that.
