View Full Version : Is there a good host for testing out a site?
I finally finished coding my first web site and it is ready to go online. However, before I hand it over to the woman for whom I am making the site, I wanted to get it online to make sure all the contact buttons work, and to have some of my friends with tiny and or huge screens look at it to see how it scales out.
Is there a good "scratchpad" type hosting service where I can upload my materials to safely, and for not much money?

Get your own webhost account with your own domain name.
Use that site for you own website (portfolio). Then create
a directory within your site for installing and testing your creations.
Doing this puts the "test site" into a real environment, with PHP, MySQL, etc.
Affordable web hosts like cleverdot.com, 1and1.com ... etc.
For as little as $40-50 per year ... That's really cheap, and you would have
your own domain name too.

If you dont need a C panel type log in, you can use blogspot as your hosting provider for only USD 10 per year. If you need C panel so that you can access and edit a lot of thing i recommend you to try Just host it is about USD 59 per year or if you buy for 3 years it is much more cheaper.
