Need a site name?...Any ideas...Squintz 07-23-2002, 10:45 PM Im trying to start my own web design business? Any ideas of a .com name i could use that is catchy....Im going to target local businesses so i need a name short and to the point... brothercake 07-23-2002, 10:49 PM here's a good trick - take two common words that aren't normally used together, and put them together. eg: mousecarpet, tablebanana, secretcup ... you get the idea. What you end up with is something reasonably memorable for which the domain name is likely to be still available. Works for me  The Wizzard 07-23-2002, 11:17 PM another example... "brothercake" lol mouse 07-24-2002, 12:54 AM I always liked radiant chill, just cos it has a meaning but it's not obvious to begin with... kinda/... Squintz 07-24-2002, 12:57 AM I decided to go with DomainWebDesigns.com Its a little long but i dont think it too hard to remember and it explains what the site about with out even going to it... Any objections...I have 30 days to cancel jscript_junkie 07-24-2002, 04:42 AM What I love is scientific names. Like Absolute Zero, Freezing Point, Terminal Velocity, and Inertia to name a few. Combine these with the above methods and you'll have something really creative! :D Also, I think alliteration works well. If you are going a garden site, you could copy the W3C address and have G3.org (Gorgeous Green Grass) I think those work really well. Hope these start the flow of ideas! :D |
