phpdev not connect to database

tried new script and it says not connecting to data base/mod vars file what do you put where it ask for (www.yordomain.com)im off line on phpdev trying to mod script need to see what im doing and need to see if it works help?

never used phpdev, but im guessing try "localhost" instead of yourdomain.com.
