Convert a folder to ftp

There is a folder containing a lot of content on one pc and i want to transfer it to another. The data is 16Gb so i cannot just transfer it through mail or making zip/rar etc. Also the connection on the second pc is a bit slow so i want to make the download resumable. Any other way this can be done ? I tried making a torrent of the folder but the second pc wont start the download. Both the pcs are in different citites so flash-drive is not an option.

Yes but it has only 2 Gb limit. Found a solution though "WINDOWS LIVE MESH" previously known as 'windows live sync'. Allows 40 Gb of data to sync and 5gb cloud data space. Thanks for replying.
