The best server scripting language?

Hate to break it to you but this poll is pretty much invalid. There is no "best" scripting language. Some may have advantages over others but it boils down to other factors like available resources, politics, etc. To a degree there can be a "better" one but it is sorta like cars, some cars are better than other cars but it just depends on what factors are important. Like for example a Saleen S7 is gonna "better" than a Geo Metro if you are only concerned with speed. But if fuel economy is what is important, that Geo Metro is going to be "better".

OracleGuy is right, all you're going to see is the biases of those who respond. Not only that but ASP is not a language so one of your options is incorrect in the first place.

You should probably include Java/JSP and Coldconfusion in there.

Yeah but that's just asking for a flame war. I'm sure if you search the forum, you'll find plenty of times where the topic has been discussed.

I've read a few articles on JSP/Servlets/Struts and in theory the java-way should be the 'best' way. But I haven't really done anything with jsp/servlets/struts.. where is method when you need him ? Did he stop posting on this board when the webboard-format changed or did he rename his account meaning he is still here ??
