Is it possible to copy a sound bite off a web site? This one: http://www.racewaypark.com I worked up a picture of a R/C car body and put it on a pic of a real car as a goof. This is the page I did. I'd like to use the sound effect as well. http://www.mcd4x4.com/floyd-bennett/jt-rwp.htm . Does anyone know how to do this? Thank you.

On that particular page the sound is probably in the .swf (Shockwave Flash) file. You could email the webmaster and ask for the sound bite???

I tried that, I assume he or she is to busy to get back to me. Thanks. Is there a way to download it or copy it?

I am not sure. If you have Flash you might be able to.
Check out THIS (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&ie=ISO-8859-1&q=%22free+sound+effects%22) link.

You can copy the .swf file from your cache, and extract the sound from it with this program:
SWF Extractor (http://www.19.5degs.com/swfextractor.php)
I don't recommend using the 'sound effect' without permission.

swmr,
I e-mailed the web design guy and the park about the sound, I haven't heard back from either. I downloaded the extraction program but I can't find the right cache folder that it's in. Any ideas? Is it always in the same folder? Thanks,
Start > Control Panel > Internet Options > Settings > View Files...
from there, its easier to find specific files (such as 'Shockwave Flash Object's) by viewing the folder details, and sorting by type.
