Hi I'm new to this forum, please forgive me if this isn't in the correct section but if you read further you will kinda see why I posted in this section.

So here goes . . . I would like to create a form that displays the results from this website http://www.cuservicecenter.com/, the form is called a "branch locator". I'm creating a splash page on a separate or different website that will use the exact same form fields of the "branch locator".

To clarify, if a user (or site visitor) comes to the splash page (my website) and fills in the form information to search for the nearest "branch location", my splash page will then link to the search results page of this website http://www.cuservicecenter.com/ and the search results will be based on what was entered on my websites splash page.

The reason I'm posting in this section is because the search results page shown on the website i'd like to link to uses an .aspx file extension which is associated with ASP.NET I believe. I did contact the website and they sent me an API Key and I'm afraid that this noob (me lol) has no idea how or what to do with the API Key at this point.

I don't know much about server side web development but I have dabbled with PHP, I've never really dealt with ASP.NET (however I am studying it now). I do know html and css and I have worked on and designed multiple webpages, so I'm familiar with that aspect of web development.

Please, if anyone can help me figure out what to do or what I should be studying to accomplish this I would be EXTREMELY GRATEFUL. I really feel like I have no solid base to start from to figure how to get the form to work properly on my splash page. Thanks for reading this and I really hope someone can shed some light on this. Thanks again!

Sorry no response to your thread for a while- been really busy...
yes aspx page is associated with asp.net
now onto the good stuff....
check this out

http://www.cuservicecenter.com/ServiceCenters.aspx?state=CO

they are already handling Request.Query***** (**** is some data type)
you send it via Response.Redirect("http://www.myPage.com/info?id=3");
you should check into the HttpResponse (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httpresponse.aspx) class and (even though this one is crappy the HttpResponse.Redirect() (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.web.httpresponse.redirect(v=vs.71).aspx) method...

Edit: I also wanted to throw this in there- it is another forum w/ some demo code you could look at: Link (http://forums.asp.net/t/1105798.aspx/1)

Thanks for the response!

I'm still trying to figure out how to accomplish this;. Just to be clear when I'm using response redirect method. So I should use the post method in the web form along with the response redirect method?

Sorry I'm really new to the asp.net language. If you could be a little more clear on the method that would be awesome . . . I'll keep looking over the provided links and examples you posted and work from there.

Thanks Alykins!

Thanks for helping me figure this out, I've got it to work great. Although I do have one final issue but I'll post that in another thread. :thumbsup:
