My new Canon PIXMAMG6250 will not print using UBUNTU.
Works fine with Windows7.
Any help welcome. I really want to get rid of Windows.
PS. I do not like the new Google search.

Just to jog somebody's memory,
I NEED a Linux driver for my new printer.

I don't think you use it without a driver. I did a quick search and no drivers came up for that model printer for ubuntu. To use the printer, you'll have to keep using windows7.
Many of my friends that use linux, has another pc that has windows fro that purpose. Ubuntu is a great os, but lack drivers for todays hardware addons. It is always good to have a windows back up pc to accomplish these kinds of things, like printing. lol

Canon has never been that great at supporting Linux. This is the best that they have come up with for support of their Pixma line of printers on Linux http://www.canon-europe.com/Support/Software/Linux/PIXMA/index.asp I have a Pixma I could never get running on Linux.
This is why I now only buy Lexmark printers because they do support Linux.
