I'm kinda new to HTML and CSS. I've used it a couple times in class, but not really that familiar with it. I'm looking to get in to webdesign/coding, but I don't really know where to start. Are there any good free online books I can read or anything like that?

We have all been in your shoes before when we started coding.
I found that the w3schools was really helpful to get started and then basically start on a few mini projects... If you get stuck we are all here to help you out along the way.
Good Luck!!! :-)

Awesome! Thanks Scott! That's exactly what I'm looking for. Would you suggest me going through HTML, then doing CSS. Or should I try to learn them together. Not really sure... :?

Good question - I would suggest you learn the basics of HTML and then move onto CSS.

i would suggest you to learn from thenewboston (http://www.youtube.com/user/thenewboston) he is pretty good at tutorials though i would suggest w3c school for anything he doesn't tell you which is pretty much nothing, though i have not yet started his HTML5 tutorials i have watched his XHTML & CSS tutorial series and have learnt a lot from him so far.

Thanks death maker! Also, would you suggest watching the HTML5 tutorials or the XHTML and CSS tutorials?
EDIT - Haha nvm, I just started watching the HTML5 vids and he said to watch the XHTML CSS video first.

the very best place that i have found is:
I have only ever used their tutorials and occasionally W3C for the "formal" answers to questions.
I hope this helps
