I am trying to make an outline of a basic website:

1) I am using YUI CSS reset
2) Then I want to have several divs:

#wrapper
#header
#navigation
#main
#footer

(all of them are contained in the #wrapper, #navigation is contained within the #header)

Is it ok to layout it like that, it does not seem to work. I have background color assigned to the wrapper and when I try to change header to black, for some reason, it does not seem to work:

body {
background: url('../img/bodybg.gif') repeat;
font: Arial, Verdana, sans-serif;
}

#wrap {
margin: 0 auto; width: 900px;
background-color: white;
}

#header {
height: 75px;
background-clor: black;
font-color: white;
}

#main

#footer {
height: 100px;
}

The code does not validate either, I get the following errors:

38 body Value Error : font Arial is not a font-size value : Arial,Verdana,sans-serif
48 #header Property background-clor doesn't exist : black
49 #header Property font-color doesn't exist : white

I am also gonna be trying to use the same pages for the header and footer and just keep including the main content page as it changes. The best way to do this is with PHP, right?

Thank you.

Hi,

Check your spelling for the word color. If what you have posted is a copy and paste the word color for the header background is spelled wrong.
