multi div layout.

I am having trouble laying out my divs and now have confused myself and just got home from work and think i know what to do can someone confirm.

Ok i want 2 columns under the main logo area.

one would be say like 70% and one 30%

would i have a wrapper around the 2 with a relative position and then float the two left and right with the left having a set width

or set them both to float left and set margin-left on the right one to where i want it.

Or is there another way i should be doing this?
