Question about containers.

I'm having some trouble but don't know what I'm doing wrong.

I've set up containers where the borders are in this image:

but everything keeps getting stacked or out of place. I'm trying to teach myself and learn as I go along but something just isn't working. Do you know of any tutorials which can better explain how these types of containers work?

Try taking some tutorials before you dive in like that. HTML Dog is a good one; otherwise, use our help thread.

You need to be able to use floats to tackle this sort of layout.
