I have a problem that kills me and i need some assistance. I've recently instaled WAMP on my computer so i can install a CMS. All fine till here. Now, i have to change permisions to some files and folders. I've read that i can do that with filezilla...but i couldn't connect to localhost at all. Can someone pls help me?

Thx in advance.

Windows servers handle permissions differently, so you don't have anything like chmod. To change permissions, you right click the file you want and go to properties.

But even then, you won't see anything like "644" like your documentation might be saying. You can go to the Security tab (in Windows 7 at least), and change things there if you need to. Does the CMS you installed have any windows documentation?

Whats the URL of localhost on your machine? What URL are you trying to browse to?

Windows has a built in IIS server and if its activated, will by default be port 80, which happens to be the default port used by WAMP's Apache server. You can either disable IIS in Windows Services, or change the Apache Port number, which is a bit more difficult.
