hi all,

Today I bought and set up the domain

The reason I have put my business phone no in the domain was due to people possibly seeing the phone no pop up when doing a search etc.

I have checked the index page on

And it looks like my tags etc are correct.

do you think google will block the site due to having the phone no in the domain?

The plan is to make a few domains with different towns in pointing to the same index page i.e

Now I know this is a obvious question but how do I get the site better ranked in google?...its a bit like buying tickets to a concert and everyone wants the front row

I played with google addwords earlier and it would seem its the same as years ago (expensive and complicated) this would depend on keywords etc but my main keyword "bournemouth electrician" I believe to be the best part of 2.00 per click!

Any tips/help on how to get it ranked better on google will be greatly apreciated..I have learned google ignores keywords now so I am asuming its to do with spreading your link around?

I also realise google knows the old tricks now i.e hiding text on pages with the same background colour (it must be able to pick colours etc from the code)

Are there affordable SEO companies that can help me maybe?

I am getting a proper site built by a web design company of which should be ready in a couple of weeks.

I currently advertise in the yellow pages at a cost of around 60.00 per month..I am on page one and probably get 1 phone call a week at best so I am sure I can do a lot better on the net nowadays

I think you have a lot more to worry about before the page rank. Not to damper your design - but I think you could find one that is much more fitting. Biggest think with PR: site content, inbound links, and visitor numbers.
