We are using the scratch card functionality here:

http://www.senamion.com/blog/2010/03/30/jquery-jscratchcard-scratchcard-effect-on-image/

In IE8, and only in IE8, the image when performing the scratch off turns blue. Only when we select it to start scratching off the card.

We thought this might be the culprit, but this did not fix it:

Firefox, Chrome, and IE9 look great. It's only IE8.

Doesn't happen to me for that original link. Do you get the issue for that too?

The user came back to me with more detail. They do not like when the image is clicked and the entire gray/blue overlay happens on the entire image. If you scratch off in Firefox, this does not happen, but in IE8, this happens. Almost like an entire "overshadow" effect.

Is this the box shadow effect?

I'm going to try variations of this where scratch_choice is my master class containing the images:

.scratch_choice img:focus {background-color:none;}

That did not work either.

mathceleb,

I tried the demo at the link you provided. It worked perfectly in Firefox, IE9, Chrome, Safari, and Opera.

Hold down Control and hit F5 to refresh your browser. You may have cache issues.
